March 8, 2008:- Patty Nunn, INDUS’ Senior Vice President for Strategic Programs, performed as the Industry Chair in support of the American Council for Technology and its Industry Advisory Council, 2nd Annual Small and Growing Business Conference(GBC). This conference was held on February 26, 2008 and had over 200 participants representing 17 federal agencies and 122 companies.

In this role, Patty led a team of volunteers from member companies to develop a program tailored to meet the needs of the small business community. The conference sessions enabled industry and Government professionals to collaborate and discuss the challenges related to capturing business, performing exceptional work, and growing their business.

“The conference theme, Partnering for Growth, recognized that it takes true partnerships between the small business community and Government customers to make growth happen,” said Patty. “Planning and executing this conference took a lot of hard work; however, the effort was well worth it, as the conference afforded me a great opportunity to work with a team of outstanding professionals to develop and execute an excellent program.”

Mike Mullen, INDUS’ Vice President for Homeland Security and Citizen Services also contributed to the conference as a panel member supporting the topic “Growth Through Graduation - Gaining and Maintaining Momentum.” Mike led INDUS’ business development from start-up until INDUS successfully emerged as a mid-size company. “With Mike’s qualifications, he added significant value and credibility to the discussion of growing a small business,” said Patty. “The planning committee appreciated Mike’s willingness to contribute to the conference.”
