Gross purchase price: $12.5 million for Halifax ; NA for Aaron B. Floyd Closing dates: June 30, 2005 , for Aaron B. Floyd; July 1, 2005 , for Halifax Investment Bank: BB&T Capital Markets/Windsor Group for Halifax and for INDUS in the Aaron B. Floyd transaction; Citigroup/Geneva Capital Strategies for Aaron B. Floyd. Why it's a big deal: These two acquisitions pushed INDUS over the $100 million annual revenue mark and made a statement that INDUS wants to be part of the new generation of consolidators. With mid-tier companies being acquired, there is room – and a need – for new players like INDUS. With the acquisitions, which closed just a day apart, INDUS put Halifax and Aaron B. Floyd together to create a defense and intelligence unit to target that fast-growing market.
