INDUS maintains a quality management system (QMS), consistent with the SEI CMMI
and ISO 9001:2000, which is applied to all projects. Our QMS consists of documented
processes and procedures for all phases of project lifecycles. We tailor these processes
to meet specific project requirements. Quality assurance is performed in all phases
of the processes by an independent Quality Assurance (QA) Group. QA involves ensuring
that policies, procedures and standards are followed according to documented plans.
QA also provides the project teams, management teams and customers with visibility
into the projects.
The QA Group is trained in quality assurance practices and has the ability to tailor
the QA process to internal projects, as well as apply the concepts to other projects
not performed by INDUS. We have standard checklists for standards and processes.
In addition, we develop specialized checklists for additional process requirements.
Our QA process employs inspections and audits to verify compliance. Once QA activities
are completed, we document results, report the findings and track issues to closure.
INDUS has developed and uses Software Quality Assurance Database (SQUAD) to track
QA activities and non-compliance issues. This tool also has a robust reporting system
to gauge the status of the projects at any time. While we do routine reporting,
we are also able to respond quickly to ad hoc status requests.
For any QA Support tasks, we will work with the customers to determine the following
criteria, ensuring that the support is scoped to the priority and size of the tasks.
- Type of audits or inspections
- Frequency of audits or inspections
- Personnel involved in audits or inspections
- Information Reported
- Frequency of Reports (Routine and Issue-Driven)
- Escalation Protocol of Issues
